Songwriter Johnny Mercer founded Capitol Records in 1942-[3] with financial help from songwriter and film producer Buddy DeSylva and the business acumen of Glenn Wallichs, owner of Wallichs Music City. Mercer raised the idea of starting a record company while golfing with Harold Arlen and Bobby Sherwood and with Wallichs at Wallichs's record store. On February 2, 1942, Mercer and Wallichs met DeSylva at a restaurant in Hollywood to talk about investment by Paramount Pictures.

On the streets of Hollywood any moment can be a new reveal of the international element meeting the elite Los Angeles culture. These streets are familiar to my feet and soul as I ate nininety nine cent pizza here through the 90’s for dinner ~ This picture was taken in 2013 on a fraction finding trip !

Santa Maria del Pi is the 14th-century Catalan Gothic church that replaced a former 10th-century Romanesque church on the very same sit e ~ on the Plaça del Pi in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. On weekends, that square fills up with artist tables, the colossal facade of the church towering behind them. It is here that I took this picture
